Casuarina cones come from the horsetail-leaved casuarina tree (Casuarina equisetifolia), which grows in tropical and subtropical coastal regions.

What makes Casuarina Cones so special?
The small, firm fruit cones gradually release their natural power in the water. Over a period of weeks, they release valuable humic substances and tannins, which gently enrich the aquarium water and give it a warm, amber colour.
This creates a soft, fish-friendly environment reminiscent of the tropical waters where many ornamental fish originate.
Fish and shrimp visibly feel more comfortable, display more intense colours and move relaxed through their natural-looking biotope.
At the same time, the cones promote healthy microflora and serve as a natural grazing area for shrimp, crabs and snails. Their natural shape and subtle colouring add decorative accents to aquascapes and biotope tanks.
Casuarina cones are also ideal as a design element in paludaria or terraria. For a harmonious, natural atmosphere.
As this is a purely natural product, the colour, shape and size may vary slightly. When stored in a dry place, the cones have an unlimited shelf life.

Application:

Place the Casuarina Cones directly into the aquarium. They will sink to the bottom after a short time. For a tank volume of 50 litres, we recommend 3–5 cones, depending on the desired intensity. They should be replaced with new ones after about 3–4 weeks.
